Open Access options to meet your funding agency requirements

Open access is the practice of providing free and unrestricted online access to the products of research. It is dramatically changing the world of scholarly publishing and we’re doing our best to keep up with the changes and provide the best possible publishing options to Authors publishing in ISP journals.
Many funding agencies over the world make it mandatory to provide the published research outcomes as Open access or authors need to submit articles in designated repositories. Agencies allocate separate fund for open access archiving of published research. The agencies include:

Office of Science and Technology (OSTP)
United Kingdom
Wellcome Trust
Research Councils United Kingdom (RCUK)

European Research Council (ERC)
Canada

Please refer to the information below to ensure compliance with your funder’s open access policies

Most major funding agencies’ specify one of the below mentioned open access requirements:
> Researchers submit their peer-reviewed journal publication to a journal that offers open access to articles on its website, either immediately or within 12 months; and (or)
> Researchers deposit their peer-reviewed journal publication in a central or institutional repository, where it will be made freely available within 12 months of publication.

The ISP provide authors an opportunity to meet their funding agency requirements through a fees based Open Article program. The standard fixed fees for Open Article is USD 2000 and authors need to pay through Paypal (ID: pubs@iscience.in ). On paying Open Article fees, the authors can publish/submit the final PDF version of article in central repositories or any other portal.
